All India Civil Services Coaching Centre is the only Institute in the State which is run by Government of Tamil Nadu to coach Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe candidates and to enable them to write Civil Services Examination. Previously a separate Institute for SC was functioning from 1966 as Pre Examination Coaching Centre and from 1971 another Institute was functioning to Coach Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes candidates etc., |

At present both the Institutes are merged and renamed as All India Civil Services Coaching Centre and is functioning under the Anna Institute of Management. The Institute gives intensive coaching for Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes as well as General Candidates to write Civil Services Examination |
